Event Details
The Second Annual Provincial Conference will take place on November 10-13 at Christ Church New Haven, CT.
Reflecting on feedback from last year's conference, we will be adding an extra day in order to allow for more social time and reflection as well as opportunities to see the city.
The conference will begin with Evensong and Benediction on Wednesday the 10th. Saturday the 13th will be a day of simple morning prayer followed by Mass.
A more detailed schedule will be available soon!
We look forward to seeing many of you in New Haven. For those who were able to make it last year, please feel free to share your thoughts on the bulletin board about your time there.
For new members or those who were not able to make it last year, here is a member's reflection on his time at the conference...

Lodging
There are several events in New Haven this weekend, so members are strongly encouraged to secure lodging as early as possible and might want to consider whether they would want a roommate.
Hotels with a Society of Catholic Priests Group Rate:
The Society has a very limited number of rooms blocked off at the Courtyard Marriot down the street. To get the group-rate of $159 per night, you must call the hotel (203-777-6221) and ask for the group rate for the "Society of Catholic Priests." For more information on the hotel:
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/hvndt-courtyard-new-haven-at-yale/
The Society also has a limited number of rooms blocked off at the New Haven Hotel, about a 15 minute walk (3/4 of a mile) from Christ Church. The group rate is $129 for the first night and $169 for the two nights following (an average of $155 per night). To get that rate you must call the hotel (203-498-3100) and ask for the group rate for the "Society of Catholic Priests." For more information on the hotel:
And, if you have a vehicle with you and don't mind a hotel that's four miles away, the Best Western Executive Hotel in West Haven has given us a rate of $79.00 per night. Their hotel includes complimentary hot breakfast, free internet access, and a fitness center along with an indoor heated pool. To get the group rate, please call the hotel at 203-933-0344 and ask for the special rate for the "Society of Catholic Priests."

Hotels without a group rate, but still suggested by the Society:
For a slightly more expensive, yet more "authentically Yale" experience (but without the group rate):

And for those who would like an inexpensive alternative to the above, we'd commend the Duncan Hotel (1151 Chapel St, New Haven, CT / 203-787-1273). They have rooms beginning at $55 a night.
Travel to New Haven
New Haven is serviced both by an airport and an Amtrak train station. The train station is a short cab ride (less than 2 miles) from Christ Church. The New Haven airport is about 6 miles from Christ Church.
Financial Assistance with Registration Fee
For those clergy or seminarians for whom the registration fee would be prohibitive, there are limited funds available to assist. Please send those requests or any other questions regarding registration to the Society's Treasurer, the Rev. Fr. Jared Cramer at jcramer@thescp.org
